Dial Telecom is again extending the Prague optical network

Dial Telecom a.s. is again extending the metropolitan optical infrastructure. During the past month, two significant projects were completed; they contributed to the continual development of the optical network of the company. The THP data center (Vinohradská 190, Praha 3) was connected to the Bohdalec connection point and then to the CE Colo data center (Nad elektrárnou 411, Praha 10).

”We have extended our optical network by 4 kilometers with another project: from the hotel Barcelo to the Krč residential estate and we have introduced 1,700 meters of microtubes of optical cabel in the area of Vinohrady, where we connected another significant business center (BC Záhřebská 23-25, Praha 2). In this locality, existing customers will be connected to the optical infrastructure free of charge and other tenants of the buildings have the opportunity to connect their companies to the latest technology,” says Alena Froňková, the head of the metropolitan networks team.

Dial  Telecom continually invests millions of CZK into its own optical network, which it offers to operators or directly to retail companies in its scope. The optical network is considered a convergent medium of the future and Dial Telecom is one the most significant telecommunication operators, who provides its portfolio of services on its own optical network and with investments targeted at the latest technologies in this field.
