Karlín business center Pobřežní 74 and Smíchov business center Bozděchova 4 (Zlatý Anděl – Golden Angel) have been connected to the high-speed metropolitan network of Dial Telecom. This network offers transmission capacities of up to n x 10 Gb. Dial Telecom is able to offer the companies in these business centers all of the data and voice services in its portfolio.
Other examples of significant buildings using the modern metropolitan network of Dial Telecom are the Polygon business center, Pankrác House, the Trainon administrative center and PPF Gate.
Dial Telecom’s own optical metropolitan network
Dial Telecom operates its own optical infrastructure, which is substantially expanded and modernized every year. The investments go into construction and increasing the efficiency of the existing routes and, particularly, creation of new branches to connect individual customers. The last year alone saw the Dial Telecom metropolitan network strengthened by 1,460 kilometers of optical fibers to a full length of 13,500 kilometers of fibers in 210 kilometers of cabling. Dial Telecom also continues increasing the capacity of the metropolitan network with the gradual introduction of the latest WDM technology. Thanks to the principle of the wave-length division multiplex, the technology enables multiplying the transmission capacity of the existing optical cable and fibers without investment into expanding the cabling itself.
