Glossary of terms - ADSL - Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line
One of the four DSL- type technologies; it was designed with a wider transmission band for downstream (towards the user) than upstream (towards the connection provider). The downstream transmission speed is in a range of up to 9 Mb/s, while the upstream speed is 16-640 kb/s.
